A fantastic review for our forthcoming 10 inch Fading within the dwelling sun from The Sunday experience: ” When you consider the wealth of releases and the names who’ve graced the label – the pretty things, soft hearted scientists, beau, vibravoid, the chemistry set et al, as impeccable and illustrious the FdM back catalogue is, this might just well be the finest thing they’ve put out to date.” Read the whole review on the reviewpage here on usandthem.se.

Review in Shindig ! Magazine

•April 12, 2016 • Comments Off on Review in Shindig ! Magazine

In the next issue of one of our favorite magazine Shindig ! our album will be reviewed. Even if we go ahead of time we can’t keep of to share the review here:

Summer Green And Autumn Brown (4 stars out of 5)

Following the recent, incandescent Beautify Junkyards release on Mega Dodo comes this long-awaited debut LP from Swedish duo, Us And Them . It’s similarly delicate and rustic yet a shade darker and more subversive than the Junkyards.

‘We Are Sacred’ sets an early high benchmark that they have little trouble in matching. The Vashti strains of ‘State Of Mind’, ‘Here Again’, which channels Low and Agnes Obel, and the innocent
sounding skip-along of ‘Precious Moments’ are all cases in point, while Ronnholm’s accented delivery and phrasings occasionally bring to mind Cate Le Bon.

The myriad influences and reference points combine to beautiful effect on the lengthy and mysterious ‘From The Inside Looking Out’ before the repeated refrain “stay a while, stay for summer, stay for good” on the dreamy ‘Insight’ locks us into some perpetual season of indolence and mellow fruitfulness.
